Hello parents and students welcome to Mundy's Mill High School, My name is Mr. Julius Omotayo and I will be your Advance Placement U.S. History teacher for this school year. I am a product of Clayton County Public Schools. I attended Babb Middle and I graduated from Forest Park High School in June of 1999. I earned the Hope Scholarship; I attended and graduated from The University of West Georgia in May of 2004; I received my Master's Degree from Thomas University in May of 2018.
In the fall of 2004, I began working for Clayton County Public Schools I started working as a Substitute Teacher, next Campus Security, and lastly an Educator. I have taught United States History and World History at Mundy’s Mill High School for the past fourteen years. I am certified to teach History grade 6-12 and I am also certified to teach Advanced Placement, Gifted and Honor Students as well. I also have fifteen years of coaching experience as well. First, I was a community coach for the Varsity Boys Basketball Team, at Forest Park High School, for two years. Next, I have coached Girls basketball and Soccer at Mundy’s Mill High School. In my first year as the Head Coach for the Girls Basketball team, our record was 22-7. We won the first state play-off game in school history and we advanced to the Sweet Sixteen. My proudest moments as a coach include my athletes earning college scholarships and graduating from college as well. My proudest as an Educator came in the 2011-2012 school year. Elizabeth Jean, one of my students received the Dell Scholarship. The Dell Scholarship Award pays for a student’s tuition for all four years of college. My hobbies include attending sporting events, traveling to other countries, watching movies and spending time with my loved ones. I have two younger siblings, my brother Tony and my sister Sarah. Both of my siblings attended schools in Clayton County Public Schools, and are professional athletes. My parents Toni and Fred Omotayo also reside in Clayton County. |
